Professional debut excites Joe Fitzpatrick

Joe Fitzpatrick says he is looking forward to his pro-fight debut after missing out on his Olympic dream through injury.

The Belfast lightweight, who won a silver medal at last year's Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, missed out on qualifying for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games through injury and has decided to turn pro.

The 20-year-old's first pro fight takes place on Saturday 6 June at the Devenish complex in west Belfast, against Ignac Kassai of Hungary.
