Carl Frampton considers move to featherweight after win in US

Carl Frampton says he struggled to make the super-bantamweight prior to his successful IBF title defence against Alejandro Gonzalez Jr in Texas and could now move up to featherweight.

The Northern Irishman, 28, was knocked down twice in his opening round but fought back to earn a comprehensive points victory.

"I need to sit down with my team to re-evaluate where I go from here. I had a lot of weight to take off on the day of the weigh-in. Too much. More than ever. I just maybe did it wrong," said the Belfast man, who was speaking alongside his trainer Shane McGuigan.
