Jamie Conlan on course for world title bout after Dublin win
Jamie Conlan is hopeful that he will fight for a world title over the next 18 months after winning his latest contest in Dublin.
The Belfast super-flyweight, brother of Olympic medallist Michael Conlan, stopped Argentinean Adrian Dimas Garzon in four rounds to make it 15 wins from as many professional contests.
"If I had lost that fight, everything was down the tubes," said the 29-year-old.
Conlan, currently the WBO's Inter-Continental champion, is ranked fifth by the governing body and is being linked with a possible world title eliminator in the New Year with Britain's former IBF bantamweight champion Paul Butler.
