Sandy Ryan backed for Olympics gold by Richie Woodhall
BBC East Midlands Today caught up with Derby boxer Sandy Ryan, who won the lightweight title at the Great British Championships in Sheffield on Thursday.
Ryan, 22, is part of the elite GB podium squad at the Institute of Sport in Sheffield.
Former WBC super middleweight champion Richie Woodhall won bronze in the 1988 Seoul Olympics and now trains Ryan. He believes she can win gold at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro next year.
