Katie Taylor beaten: Irish star vows to bounce back to book Rio spot
Katie Taylor says she is relieved that she will have another chance to qualify for the Rio Olympics at the World Championships in two months after her shock defeat in Turkey on Friday.
London 2012 lightweight champion Taylor was beaten on a unanimous decision by Azerbaijan's Yana Alekseevna in the semi-finals of the Olympic qualifying tournament in Samsun.
Victory would have secured the five-time world champion her Olympic spot.
""The difference between winning and losing is marginal. Today wasn't my day. Congratulations to her. She deserved it," said the Irishwoman.
