Alastair Cook tells BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast how he plans to spend a rare Christmas on home soil.
The England opening batsman admits he is "sick and tired of seeing turkeys" at his girlfriend's farm, although that has not stopped him earmarking some potential candidates for Christmas dinner.
Cook, who is England's one-day international captain, claims the trip to the United Arab Emirates to face Pakistan in the New Year represents "the challenge of the unknown".
