England will fight to beat Sri Lanka - Ian Bell

Batsman Ian Bell says England are ready to "fight and prove people wrong" as they look to overturn Sri Lanka, who close day two of the first Test with a lead of 209 at 84-5 in Galle.

Bell, who completed his 29th Test half century with 52 runs, admits England have not played to their full potential this winter but are determined to improve.

However, he does praise England's "outstanding" bowling display which led to the fall of five wickets in the evening session, and predicts an "exciting" third day of cricket in Galle on Wednesday.
