Anderson relieved after 300th wicket

James Anderson says he is relieved his 300th Test wicket is "out of the way" after becoming only the fourth England player to reach the landmark.

The pace bowler removed New Zealand openers Hamish Rutherford and Peter Fulton in quick succession on the second day of the first Test to join Sir Ian Botham, Bob Willis and Fred Trueman in the 300 club.

Anderson says it feels "strange" to be among such famous England players, but hopes there is "plenty more left to come".

Listen to match highlights and Jonathan Agnew and Geoffrey Boycott's analysis of each day's play on the Test Match Special podcast.
