Ashes 2013: Joe Root defends England's slow scoring rate

England batsman Joe Root defends his team's slow scoring during the fifth Ashes Test, saying good Australian bowling was to blame.

On the third day at The Oval, the hosts scored just 215 runs in 98.3 overs to reach 247-4 and move within 46 runs of the follow-on.

Root top-scored with 68 as England, who lead the series 3-0, reply to Australia's 492-9 declared.
