Essex v Worcestershire: Toss was crucial at Chelmsford, says Mitchell

Worcestershire skipper Daryl Mitchell tells BBC Hereford & Worcester that the toss was all important in his side's innings and 92-run defeat by Essex at Chelmsford.

"When they won the toss they were in the pound seats. It's almost impossible when you're stuck in on something like that.

"Having said that, to be bowled out for 84 was not too good. If we'd scrapped to get even 150-odd, that might have given us more of a chance.

"We're disappointed to finish with a defeat but, over the season, we've won eight times in 16 games and there's no doubt we deserve to go up."
