Tim Murtagh: Ireland absence tough for Middlesex bowler
Middlesex seam bowler Tim Murtagh tells BBC London he is "hugely disappointed" to be missing Ireland's World Cup campaign because of injury.
The 33-year-old had surgery on a foot injury a month ago, but says he is ahead of schedule in his recovery and hoping to be fully fit for the start of the county season in April.
Meanwhile, Murtagh is backing Middlesex team-mate Eoin Morgan to rediscover his form with the bat.
The England World Cup captain has been criticised about his batting, but Murtagh says the 28-year-old is "a player for the big occasion" and the team's "stand-out player".
