England's most unlikely Ashes hero

This month marks the 40th year since David Steele made his Test debut against Australia, aged 35.

Following a 4-1 drubbing the previous winter and an innings defeat in the first Test at Edgbaston, the English public craved the intervention of a superhero. One wicket down in the second Test, out wandered Steele.

He went on to score 50, 45, 73, 92, 39 and 66 against Australia and here he speaks to BBC Sport about his ascension, as well as some of his more embarrassing stories.
