'I was never sure it would happen'

Ireland captain William Porterfield says taking to the field for a Test match against England at Lord's will be a "special occasion".

The four-day match [24-27 July] will be the first time Ireland have faced England in a Test after being awarded full-member status.

"I always thought it was a possibility in my career that I would get the opportunity [to play a Test at Lord's] but deep down I was never sure that it was going to happen," said Porterfield.
