Barr reflects on cycling challenge bid

Irish cyclist Joe Barr reflects on his curtailed bid to complete the Race Across America, a challenge often compared with climbing Mount Everest.

Altitude ended the hopes of one of Ireland's toughest endurance athletes after 1000 miles as his body gave up in 45 degree heat on the Rio Grand Mountain Pass in Colorado.

Barr paid tribute to the care he received from the medical team who treated him.
