Tiernan-Locke on 'fantastic' win

Jonathan Tiernan-Locke says his "fantastic" win in the Tour of Britain "hasn't properly sunk in" in the aftermath of securing the overall race victory.

In winning, the Endura Racing rider becomes the first home winner of the race since Chris Lillywhite's Milk Race triumph in 1993, and hopes he may be rewarded with a "bit of a free reign" in next week's World Championships.

His Great Britain team-mate Mark Cavendish also spoke after winning the final stage, hinting the Tour may have been his last appearance for Team Sky.
