Cavendish happy after difficult year

Mark Cavendish says he is happy with his Tour of Britain performance after a difficult year in which he crashed out of the first stage of the Tour de France.

The Briton lost out by inches to Marcel Kittel in a sprint finish in Sunday's final stage in central London, as Dutch rider Dylan van Baarle won the overall race.

Van Baarle took the leader's yellow jersey after Saturday's seventh stage and retained his lead at Sunday's time trial, which was won by Sir Bradley Wiggins.
