Heather Mills on the race to make the Sochi Paralympics

When Heather Mills announced she was joining the Great Britain disability ski team for a trial in late 2010 some thought it was a publicity stunt.

But nearly two years on Mills, who had her leg below the left knee amputated following a collision with a police motorbike in 1993, is edging closer to achieving the ranking scores needed to qualify for the 2014 Sochi Paralympics.

The skier has achieved five victories in second-tier events over the last 12 months and BBC Sport's Nick Hope joined Mills, 44, during her latest GB training camp on the Hintertux Glacier in Austria.
