Smith eyes Rio place despite illness

Rowing champion David Smith is hoping to compete at the Rio Paralympics in 2016 despite battling illness.

Smith won gold at London 2012 in the mixed coxed fours but has swapped the boat for a bike and is aiming to go to Brazil as part of the cycling team.

Victory in London was remarkable because two years previously he underwent emergency surgery after doctors found a tumour inside his spinal cord and last summer he received the news that it had returned, as BBC Sport's Jenna Hawkey reports.
