FEI World Cup: Christian Ahlmann wins in Madrid

Christian Ahlmann makes it two in a row in Madrid with victory at the sixth leg of the FEI Word Cup jumping tournament, which he now leads by six points over Simon Delestre.

Carlos Lopez riding Prince de la Mare set the time to beat in the jump off with a time of 41.37. Belgium's Pieter Devos was quicker but paid the price with one down. Henrick Von Eckermann and Marco Kutscher both made rookie mistakes, having the first fence down and had to settle for third and fourth place.

That left last week's winner Ahlmann with his 15-year-old stallion Taboulet Z to snatch the win from the Columbian with a time of 40.98 seconds.
