Draw tops 'bad week' for Sunderland - Steve Bruce

Although Sunderland manager Steve Bruce says he was happy not to lose away at Swansea, he admits the amount of chances his side squandered "sums our week up".

The Black Cats lost 1-0 to local rivals Newcastle last Saturday and were knocked out of the Carling Cup by Brighton in midweek.

Bruce says his side created enough chances "to win two matches" against Swansea, but says he won't be in a rush to play teenage striker Connor Wickham - a summer signing from Ipswich - despite their lack of goals so far this season.
