Sunderland deserved defeat - O'Neill

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill says his side "didn't deserve anything" after they lost 4-0 away to West Brom at The Hawthorns.

The Black Cats had won five of their last six away games - but goals from Peter Odemwingie, James Morrison and Keith Andrews gave the Baggies an important victory.

O'Neill says he is "desperately disappointed" with the way the match went, but remains positive that they can achieve a good result in the Tyne and Wear derby against Newcastle next weekend.
