No rush to replace Capello - Brooking

Speaking before England's 3-2 defeat against the Netherlands at Wembley FA director of development Sir Trevor Brooking says they are in no rush to appoint a successor to Fabio Capello as England manager.

Brooking says that current caretaker boss Stuart Pearce is a genuine contender for the position, but says it could be at least two months before the FA are able to announce who will take over from Capello.

The former West Ham midfielder also says Scott Parker was the right choice to captain England against the Netherlands and that Steven Gerrard was never an option as he would not be playing the full 90 minutes at Wembley.
