Bruce 'disappointed' by Wolves snub

Steve Bruce says he was "disappointed" not to be chosen to fill the vacant manager's position at Wolves, despite having a second interview at the Premier League club.

After interviewing a number of candidates for the position, the club decided to promote assistant boss Terry Connor until the end of the season following the sacking of Mick McCarthy.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live's Pat Murphy, Bruce says he was given the impression by Wolves that he would be given the job following a second interview, but believes Connor is a "genuinely good football man" and will do well at the club.

Listen to the full interview on BBC Radio 5 live on Friday from 19:30 GMT. Please visit the Best Bits page to hear other Radio 5 live interviews.
