Norwich boss Lambert salutes 'brilliant' defeat of Aston Villa

Norwich manager Paul Lambert believes his side were "brilliant" during their 2-0 win over Aston Villa on the final day of the season to give the Canaries a 12th-place finish in the Premier League.

Lambert says Norwich "thoroughly deserved" their win, praising Grant Holt's tally of 17 goals for the season and stating his belief the former Shrewsbury striker could easily be included in Roy Hodgson's England squad for the European Championship.

Despite their success, Lambert says he will be seeking to strengthen his squad during the summer.
