Euro 2012: Wayne Rooney 'rested' and 'relaxed' for England campaign

Wayne Rooney says he has "had a nice rest" and "feels good" as England prepare for Euro 2012 at their Hertfordshire training camp.

The Manchester United forward believes it has been important for the squad to "relax and have a bit of down time", saying he can't wait to be a part of the tournament even though he will have to wait until England's third group game on 19 June.

Rooney will miss the first two games of England's campaign through suspension after being banned following his red card against Montenegro in October, meaning he is unable to face France or Sweden but may return to face joint hosts Ukraine.
