Rio Ferdinand: Motty fears for international career

BBC commentator John Motson doubts Rio Ferdinand will ever play for his country again after England manager Roy Hodgson overlooked the 33-year-old for Euro 2012.

Hodgson has said the decision was for "footballing reasons" and not as John Terry is due to stand trial in July over a charge he racially abused Ferdinand's brother Anton - an issue which Motty believes is "never going to go away".

Fellow defender Gary Cahill was ruled out with a double fracture of his jaw after colliding with goalkeeper Joe Hart during the friendly win over Belgium on Saturday.
