Barnet wanted new model - Allen

Gillingham manager Martin Allen tells BBC Radio Kent that the fact Barnet wanted a new model at the club was one reason he was not appointed as the permanent manager of the Bees.

Allen kept Barnet in League Two last season after joining on a short-term deal but the permanent role of head coach went to Mark Robson.

Allen joined Gillingham in July and the Kent club sit top of League Two after five games of the new campaign.
