Glentoran boss Eddie Patterson says Ryan Newberry ban is 'farcical'
Glentoran manager Eddie Patterson describes an eight-month ban handed out to reserve team player Ryan Newberry as 'farcical' and 'draconian'.
The suspension was imposed by the IFA's Disciplinary Committee in response to an incident which occurred while the player was on international duty.
The ex-Ards midfielder needed more than 50 stitches after punching a window during a row with a team-mate after a match in Macedonia in September.
He had been playing for the Northern Ireland Junior international team at the Uefa Regions Cup in Strumica.
