Spurs ran Man City close - Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas says his side "gave Manchester City a run for their money" before losing 2-1 to the champions at Etihad Stadium.

Spurs led through Steven Caulker's first-half header, but Sergio Aguero drew level before substitute Edin Dzeko secured all three points with two minutes to go.

Villas-Boas admits it was "not an easy game" for Spurs, but says his side "did not deserve" to concede the equaliser, which set up City's victory.
