Brian McDermott: Managers must earn right to wear a suit

Reading manager Brian McDermott tells BBC Radio Berkshire that he believes managers need to earn the right to wear a suit.

McDermott wore one for the first time this season last Saturday as his side achieved their first Premier League win and has vowed to put on his 'lucky suit' again at the weekend.

"You know sometimes you just make a change. I don't know why, I just had a gut feeling that it was the right thing to do and I'll be wearing a suit on Saturday again," he said.

"This is a really crazy thing to say, but sometime you've got to earn the right to wear a suit. I know it's a silly thing to say but I see young managers going straight onto the bench with a suit on and it just doesn't seem right to me."
