Rodgers complains about penalties

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has "nothing but praise" for his "brilliant" players' performance against Tottenham, despite losing 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

The former Swansea boss is however "bitterly disappointed" at not being awarded two penalties in the game, the first one was "bordering on assault on Steven Gerrard" according to Rodgers.

He also claims that Clint Dempsey was "clever" in winning the free-kick from which Gareth Bale scored Tottenham's second goal to add to Aaron Lennon's close-range finish.
