Newcastle's 'bold' play pleases Alan Pardew

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is pleased by his side's 3-0 victory over Wigan, saying they deserved the three points for their "bold" play.

Wigan were reduced to 10 men when Maynor Figueroa was sent off for bringing down Papiss Cisse inside the box after just 12 minutes.

Newcastle scored from the resulting penalty through Demba Ba and Pardew felt for the opposition, saying the last-man rule needs to be readdressed.
