Mario Balotelli: Roberto Mancini happy with striker's decision

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini says Mario Balotelli has taken ''responsibility'' for his ''mistake'' after the striker agreed to drop his challenge to a club fine this week.

Balotelli, who will miss this weekend's game with Reading due to illness, was due to take the club to a Premier League tribunal, but just hours before it was due to take place he agreed to pay a fine of two weeks' wages relating to his poor disciplinary record last season.

Mancini also sends his best wishes to Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova, who has undergone throat surgery.
