Newcastle 1-0 QPR: Harry Redknapp hints at January deals

QPR manager Harry Redknapp says his team "lacked quality" in their 1-0 defeat at Newcastle, and hints that he will look to sign some new players during the January transfer window.

Shola Ameobi came off the bench to score the only goal of the game and Redknapp cited the strength of Newcastle's substitutes as the key difference between the sides.

Redknapp says he is "short of options in one or two positions", with his team bottom of the Premier League going into the Christmas fixtures.
