Newcastle too tentative - Pardew

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew says his team were too "tentative" and "couldn't got going" after they lost 2-1 at home to Reading in the Premier League.

The Magpies took a first-half lead thanks to Yohan Cabaye's free kick, Reading substitute Adam Le Fondre came on to score twice in six minutes and seal the Royals' first away win in the league this season.

The result means Reading remain in the Premier League's bottom three, but Brian McDermott's side are now just two points behind Newcastle.
