Bury fans deserve 'happy ending'

Bury manager Kevin Blackwell tells BBC North West Tonight that he hopes a long period of financial turmoil at Gigg Lane will have a happy ending.

The Shakers were close to going out of business at the end of the 2012-13 season, and Blackwell says it is difficult not to get "swept away" with the optimism that has enveloped the club since new chairman Stewart Day completed his takeover.

Bury, who were relegated from the third tier in April, begin the new League Two campaign at home to Chesterfield on Saturday.
