Cliftonville get League Cup defence off to winning start
Cliftonville get the defence of their League Cup crown off to a winning start by defeating Harland and Wolff Welders 3-0 in the second round at Solitude.
After a goal-less first half, Joe Gormley opened the scoring from the penalty spot and then tapped in for his ninth goal in four matches.
Johnny McMurray added the third but after the match Reds manager Tommy Breslin congratulated his opponents for playing some good football.
