England youngsters can make big impact - Roy Hodgson

Coach Roy Hodgson believes uncapped duo Ross Barkley and Andros Townsend, and Raheem Sterling can make a "big impact" for England.

Everton midfielder Barkley, 19, Tottenham midfielder Townsend, 22, and Liverpool's Sterling, 18, have been called into the squad for the September's World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.

Hodgson also praises striker Wayne Rooney for how he has handled the media attention surrounding his future at Manchester United, plus defends Joe Hart after the Manchester City goalkeeper received some criticism for his performance in City's 3-2 defeat by Cardiff.
