FA commission: Clarke Carlisle calls for fresh ideas from panel

Clarke Carlisle says he is worried that the Football Association commission set up to improve the fortunes of the England national team will be short of fresh ideas.

Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, the former chairman of the Professional Footballers' Association fears that problems at lower levels and in minority sectors of the game will not be addressed fully because of the "elite" nature of the 10-man panel assembled by FA chairman Greg Dyke.
