Sunderland second best - Poyet

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet admits his side were "second best" after their 4-1 defeat away to Arsenal.

Emanuele Giaccherini scored a consolation goal for the Black Cats, but Poyet said "not too many" players had shown they "deserved to play" in the League Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday 2 March.

The Black Cats remain in the relegation zone, one point from safety.
