Hartlepool United manager Colin Cooper is following in some illustrious footsteps in his managerial career at Victoria Park, none more so than those of Brian Clough.
Clough, who like Cooper represented north east sides Middlesbrough and Sunderland during his playing days, made his managerial bow at Pools before going on to lift domestic and European silverware with Derby County and Nottingham Forest.
Cooper was given his first step on the manager ladder by the club last summer, and sees the Clough story as an inspiration for his own career journey.
"I've got an awful lot of learning to do, but it's a job I'm relishing," he told BBC Late Kick Off in the North East and Cumbria.
"Everybody points to the fact that Brian Clough started at Hartlepool, and the one thing I've always said is that if I get anywhere near to the achievements of Brian Clough then I won't have done too badly."
