Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini not looking beyond Villa

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says his side are preparing the same for their penultimate Premier League game against Aston Villa as they have done all season.

Pellegrini says he did not watch Liverpool's capitulation against Crystal Palace, a result which means City will head into the final day of the season with a two-point lead over the Merseysiders if they beat Villa.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers believes City will win the title, but Pellegrini says: "I only know that we have to win the game against Aston Villa. At the end of the week we'll see which team has more points."

The Villans won the reverse fixture last September and Pellegrini expects them to be a "difficult team" for the hosts.
