Congerton rejects mass player influx

Sunderland sporting director Lee Congerton tells BBC Look North there will be no large-scale influx of players to the club this summer, despite a wish to strengthen Gus Poyet's squad.

The Black Cats finished the Premier League season in 14th place last term, but with several players leaving the club this summer there is a need for some new additions.

Billy Jones, Jordi Gomez and Costel Pantilimon have already been brought in, and Congerton hopes more are to follow.
