Irish Premiership: Leaders Ballymena beaten by Glenavon

Glenavon beat Premiership leaders Ballymena United 2-1 at Mourneview Park in a match full of incident.

Kris Lindsay nodded Glenavon into an early lead and after Ballymena striker David Cushley missed a number of chances, Rhys Marshall doubled the home team's lead following the controversial awarding of a corner-kick by referee Raymond Hetherington.

After Glenavon's Shane McCabe and Ballymena's Allan Jenkins were red carded following a melee involving several players, Cushley pulled a goal back for the Braidmen but the Lurgan Blues held on to take all three points.
