Swansea 2-2 Newcastle: Pardew pleased by 'tremendous character'
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew says his side showed "tremendous character" to battle back and earn a 2-2 draw with Swansea City.
Newcastle twice trailed, but Papiss Cisse converted their only two clear chances in the game. Swansea had led through Wilfried Bony's low finish, then Wayne Routledge's cute flick, after Gylfi Sigurdsson passes.
Newcastle are still winless in the Premier League, but the point moves them up to 18th in the table.
