Rodgers bemoans 'sloppy' Liverpool

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says his side conceded "sloppy" goals in their 3-0 Champions League defeat to Real Madrid at Anfield.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a superb opener after 23 minutes and Karim Benzema added two more before the interval to leave Liverpool with just three points from their opening three group games.

Rodgers also says he was initially unaware that striker Mario Balotelli had swapped shirts with Real defender Pepe at half-time but would deal with the matter, and believes that Raheem Sterling is "unfortunate" that stories emerged in the press about him visiting a nightclub after England's trip to Estonia.
