Chorley look to end 24-year FA Cup wait by beating Halifax Town

Chorley look to end their 24-year wait to play in the first round of the FA Cup by beating Conference Premier side Halifax Town.

The Conference North side are managed by former Blackburn team-mates Garry Flitcroft and Matt Jansen and reached the fourth qualification round with a 4-1 win over local rivals Bamber Bridge.

The Magpies are owned by Ken Wright, who was the manager when they famously beat Wolves in the first round of the 1986-87 FA Cup.

The two sides drew 0-0 on Saturday, and will meet again in a reply at the Shay on Tuesday.
