Reds edge Ballymena in Shield thriller

Substitute David McDaid scores a late winner as Cliftonville edge out Ballymena United in a thrilling see-saw County Antrim Shield quarter-final at Solitude.

The sides went in level at half-time after Darren Boyce had given the Sky Blues the lead, only for George McMullan to equalise from the penalty spot.

Stephen Garrett and Martin Murray put the Reds 3-1 ahead, but Allan Jenkins and Alan Teggart found the net as the prospect of extra-time loomed large.

After the game, BBC Sport spoke to Ballymena manager Glenn Ferguson, Cliftonville boss Tommy Breslin and match-winner McDaid.
