Rodgers 'not bothered' by critics

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he is "not really bothered" by people questioning his team selection for the Reds' Champions League match away to Real Madrid.

Seven of the Reds' starting XI from the weekend defeat by Newcastle - including Steven Gerrard and Raheem Sterling - began Tuesday's 1-0 loss on the bench.

Despite the inexperience of Liverpool's team, Real's Cristiano Ronaldo saw his run of 13 successive goalscoring appearances come to an end, leaving him one short of Raul's all-time Champions League record of 71 goals.
