Spartans aim for more FA Cup history

Forward Robbie Dale is excited by the prospect of making more FA Cup history with Blyth Spartans in his 11th season at Croft Park.

Non-league Spartans have an FA Cup pedigree which took them as far as the fifth round in 1978, while they hosted Blackburn, then a Premier League side, in the third round as recently as 2009.

Dale, 30, played for the club during that previous cup run, and with goals in each round of the competition thus far, he is confident of further progress going into Sunday's first-round tie against fellow non-leaguers Altrincham.
